Hi, everybody, I’m Hanlin. I’m originally
from Taiwan, and have lived in Japan, Tokyo, since I was 3 years old. It snowed
really hard in Tokyo few days ago, it is said that it was the hardest in past
45 years. All railways were suspended for a couple days. People in Tokyo,
especially my family and my friends might face hard days and were in trouble, I
think. On the other hand, fortunately, the weather in California is really nice
compared with that, we don’t have much rain, always sunny, and I feel comfortable to be here.
So, let me talk about my hobbies a little bit.
One of my biggest hobbies is watching formula 1 racings. There are approximately
18 to 19 races in a year, they all race in different countries. In addition to
that, there are only 22 formula 1 drivers all over the world, which means it is
unbelievably hard to be a driver. But, this makes races super exciting, I’m
looking forward to new season coming in next March.
I’m also a huge fun of films. I watch 2 or 3
films in a week. My favorite movies are Kramer vs. Kramer, which won Academy
Award for Best Picture in 1980, Rain Man, which also won Academy Award for Best
Picture in 1988, and The Shawshank Redemption, that you may know more than
those of two films. If you do have any recommendations about films, please let
me know, or we can go to see together.
Anyway, I’m really glad to see all my classmates, hope to spent unforgettable days in UCI. Thank you for reading.

返信削除Hi Hanlin,
返信削除The movies I want to recommend to you are Father of the Bride 1 and 2, Mrs. Doubtfire, and I am Sam. They are all a little old, about 10 years old, and they are all heartwarming family movies. Also, Pursuit of Happiness is a great inspirational movie. I'm sure you know the next Formula 1 race will be in Sochi, Russia. You can enjoy watching that. Well, I hope you have a wonderful and memorable time here in California!
